Question S60 ongoing electrical draining battery fault

Just wondering if this is a widespread fault.

Been to the garage so many times and spent thousands on this - battery draining even when car turned off.

Nobody can get to the bottom of it, not even local Volvo specialists.

I recently met someone who has exactly the same problem - same model. So I wondered if there might be some kind of design fault with this model. I contacted Volvo and they said there was nothing they knew of (which I sort of expected). They suggested I take it to another volvo specialist, which is over an hour's drive away. I don't have the time to go up there and back twice, so thought I'd see if I could get any clues on here.

I've owned three volvos now and normally swear by them. Electrical problems have been a common theme with all of them, but none as bad as this one.

Does anyone out there have any similar experiences with S60s?

no , not prone to it at all , how much current is draining with the car locked and alarm on measured after 10 minutes ? It should be fairly easy to find out where the current is going if there is a leakage ..

Failing alarm siren is the favourite cause of a draining car battery. Many people just remove the fuse for it.
