No but my Qashqai does and it is not an issue. I believe it’s only about 1 stop of exposure value even though it looks dark. The cameras have auto exposure and compensate well.

[ My first post on volvoforums.org.uk. I am in the US but like to see what is going on in the EU! ]

I have never had a Dashcam before, but after getting rear-ended (yep, the month old XC60), I decided to give it a go. I initially tried the front windshield location for a couple of days to see if there was interference with the Intellisafe as I have seen reported. I didn't have an issue. Ended up with a permanent mount for my Garmin DC55 on the rear hatch and it's been in place for about 2 months. No issues. I plug in the power in the rear 12V, very easy. no issues with radio that I can tell but we don't have DAB in the US, do we? I listen to FM (Digital) and stream Spotify to phone mostly.

I have the power wire in the gasket. very easy. the cable loop needed for the opening is more than I would hope for but I just deal with it. not a problem.

My installation at the moment....

not sure of the posting syntax here, so I am going to try what I use over at Swedespeed. there should be three photos taken today.

Cheers, Ed

Best place is high up a few inches to the left (passenger side) of the intellisafe casing where it’s out of the way which is where I mounted my Blackvue 750 Dual Channel camera.

Ensure that you leave enough room to remove memory card if fitted. I read a report on here of a dashcam fitted with glued pads too close to the radar pod and the card could not be removed, and it was fitted by a so called professional.

That's where I have my Thinkware 770 front camera fitted (on my V90) . I just don't see it in the normal course of driving. I went down the low level route to the rear camera as it was easier with my dodgy back. When it came to routing the cable into the tailgate I went via the nearside flexible conduit. It means pulling the end going into the bodywork out and getting this back was fiddly. It's held by a 4 fingered collar which has to be removed,re-fitted to rubber conduit and clicked into place . The finished job is much neater than having a loop of cable. No issues whatsoever with interference. Paid for itself within a couple of months when a white van driver ran into the back of me then legged it. (court case outstanding).

I'll soon be tackling this on my own car and I'd be interested to hear any tips you may have for gaining access behind either end of the conduit.
