Help with Evo 3 296mm brake upgrade
Hello guys ,
Just wanted to ask if someone known if these parts I'm gathering are the correct ones for the 296mm twin piston upgrade. Please take the time to check if these are the right ones as I'm unsure: Calipers (right and left): http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/281710013757 http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/281749301222 Discs from a VR4 that I will redrill: http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/401028466245 Also, do stock lines from the S40 fit these new calipers? Thank you very much and Merry Christmas! Best regards, Ricardo. |

The calipers look exactly the same as mine, I'll double check the casting numbers from the pictures when next in the garage. I'm using them with standard length braided lines without an issue.
The discs will not work though as they are for the 4 pot cast iron calipers that the 3000gt's run. The rotors you need are 296mm but only 24mm wide the same as the early Evo not 30mm. This listing show's the size disc you require: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Disc-Brake-R...1VjsqZ&vxp=mtr More info here: https://www.rtmracing.com/xcart/home.php?cat=2313 |

The calipers look correct but I will check the numbers against mine, the Outlander looks to have used the same caliper carrier from 2002-2012 so should be fine. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FRONT-BRAK...QAAOSw2VJVfqpd Merry Christmas! |

Yeah Evo 1-3 pads, Fto mivec, some Talon's & Eclipse's ran the same caliper as well. I've heard mixed reviews about the DS2500's, I think they require a lot of warming up or they feel wooden. They are not road legal in the UK on cars built after 1999, not that this affects you.

Lol, I think blocks of wood are preferable to EBC pads, scariest moment of my life was approaching a bend with EBC redstuff fitted!
