2007 C70 Wont Start

Because the battery went flat the windows lost their POSITION sense

I RESET that by holding the window up switch for about 10 seconds after the window was fully up (just a guess on my part) and one touch windows are back working

VOLTECH says the engine has to be running for the gear lever lock to operate and to get the lever out of park

BUT they said there is an emergency unlock option with instructions in the user manual

I CANT FIND THAT lots info online but not for the GearTronic gearbox I have


RTFM works!!!!

As I discovered that the LED's on the doors time out after five minutes and they do and they have gone off after five mins

Also I found the gearlever unlock procedure in the manual pic is wrong and not for GearTronic Gearbox

BUT on the R/H/S at the back is a little pull up flap open that and you then insert the keyblade there press down and woooo hoo gearleaver is UNLOCKED

With my partner we did some more investigation

With her locked in the car once the alarm goes active after about a 30 secs to a minute we can hear a click....and if she then moves the alarm triggers

Next test was the same but she was not to move but sneakily open the bonnet......again alarm triggers

When we go to pos2 on the ignition switch there are lots of clicks and there is a constant hum from something underneath the bonnet

When we go to pos2 the normal front driving lights come on BUT so does the sidelights and the amber lights at the extreme outboard part of the headlamp unit

Also the interior lights are timing out and going off after about a minute or so

Still no starter motor activation so I suspect the car is immobilised

SO most things seem to be working OK but a few things are doing funny things

ANYONE fairly local got VIDA and a DICE who could come over and have a look at the codes......MY LINIX12x64 Win 10 Tablet with VIDA is NOT working It wont charge I have been in contact with the seller here and hope to get that sorted quickly

Just FYI, I own a MY 2006 C70 geartronic, I tried the gear lever with the key in the ignition and it was locked in P. Still locked in P at position 1, 2 & 3. Only able to move gear lever out of P with key turned to position 3 & my foot on the brake pedal, wouldn't move otherwise. On single touch window working I'm unsure whether they all have single touch. My front windows do, my rear don't, all 4 together do for going down but not coming up. Re-setting the front windows, I think holding the button down for about 10 seconds on opening,then up for about 10 seconds on closing. Open then close immediately. Hope this helps some.

Thanks but read my version of WAR and PEACE here I have found out how to unlock the gear lever and I also have reset the windows I did a hold the up button up for about 10 seconds

got a temp replacement tablet today with W10 and VIDA

the TCM box is RED and VIDA says no communication with TCM

I suppose if TCM thinks car is in gear it wont allow the starter motor to energise

any ideas FUSE blown or ????

You need some professional help , the TCM is not communicating for some reason , has it got live feeds and earths as per wiring diagram ? Is the network giving the right signals at the TCM ... have you cleaned all the CEM plug socket terminals and pins ?

YEP loan Tablet {my Linix12x64 that is dedicated to VIDA would not start up or charge its battery}with W10 and VIDA plus the DICE and we have lots of faults

Cleared them and we still have two BIG SURPRISE NOT

CEM-DE6E Communication with TCM control module Signal missing

CRM-20B1 Hall sensor 3. Shorted to supply

Dont know about the CRM fault but it can wait for another day

VIDA says 372: CRM-DE6E Communication with TCM control module Signal missing

CHECK THE FOLLOWING

The fuse in the engine compartment fusebox for the transmission control module TCM

WOOOOO HOOO FUSE #23 10A BLOWN!!!!!

Car now starts I will check the hood operation tomorrow MAYBE or just leave that one for a time when I have more time and better weather to investigate that problem

SO IF you have no gear indication on the dash and the gear consul does not light up showing the gear positions.......and your car wont activate the starter CHECK FUSE #23
