  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

it is easier with the seat out but you can do it in place if you have small hands and two 10mm AF spanners ... or take the 4 mounting bolts out and tip the seat back , you have electrical side air bags on your later model so ok as long as ignition is off .

It is a royal PITA to adjust the drivers seat fully. I know in my car (97 r-plate s40) there is a lever on the left hand side of the seat, you need to adjust both the front and back independantly.

Apologies if you have tried this already, raise the lever up to adjust the front edge and lower the lever down to adjust the rear edge, i find mine is harder to adjust the rear edge over the front one.

Default Seat adjust.

We're lucky our S40 SE has the passenger seat adjustment option that makes it identical to the driver's seat.

However, I would imagine your seat should move down a couple of notches on the subframe - might be tricky to do, did it on my 740; quite easy on that though no electrics to worry about only the seat heater connection!
