I have the same issue here, does anyone know what the pressure in the system needs to be at, at lets say 20°C? I cannot find any data at this whatsoever.

You may find this a useful guide to pressures.
http://ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com...c-with-gauges/ I also have non-functioning A/C. Condenser and dryer on my shopping list. HTH Ian. |

the pressure in a static system varies quite a lot from -10C to + 35 C also pressure is no indication of volume of gas left in the system , unless it is near empty of course.

This is the same in the UK you have to be certified with City & Guilds or IMI qualifications , there are hefty fines up to £40,000 for tampering with AC systems and/or letting gas escape into the atmosphere . It is cheap enough to let the professionals do the work .

Yep, that sounds about the same. Only in the US i guess, that everybody can tamper with stuff they don't know about

I have a document here about the Climate Control, it states:
Pressostat: The pressure sensor signal is used by the ECM. If pressure drops below approximately 1.65-1.90 bar, the compressor shuts down and is activated again when the pressure rises to approximately 2.95-3.25 bar. To me this would indicate a minimum required system pressure of around 3.0 bar and it also talks about an absolute maximum of 35 bar! so there's a large range of pressures going on.

F-Gas, it's the refrigeration / air conditioning equivalent of the Corgi (now Gas Safe) registration for gas fitters. But yes, it's taken as a City & Guilds qualification.
