Vida dice?

Hi guys, anyone in East Devon have vida installed on a laptop? Local dealer fluffed up the diagnosis so bought dice and vida to check myself. Installation not happening though.

Which windows operating system are you trying to install Vida, I think it requires Windows 7.

Actually there are Versions available, that build upon Windows10 (in a VM). If you use the versions from the CDs (or DVDs) that you get together with the Dice on ebay, you have to use Windows7.

Yeah using Windows 7 but it came with Internet explorer 8 but apparently only uses IE 9 which I can't get anywhere. Gonna get a norther version that installs in a vm.

That's good mate. Being self diagnosing as can't get software up but think it's mass air flow problem. I might give you a buzz and get your help. 👍

Exactly.
IE9 is freely available but Vida will work with IE11 no problem too with a simple tweek.
Sounds like another case of crappy instructions you get from eBay sellers.

Ok got another copy of vida from eBay but UK seller this time. After a longggg download early hours this morning, I have vida up on running on my laptop. I'm currently sat in the car trying to get dice to work now. Vida sees the dice. Under dice configuration I've run the test communication tool and it says all ok. When I select the dice in the drop down box and read vehicle, it says '

not possible to read out information from vehicle, no response from vehicle. Tried ignition off, on, and also engine running. Any ideas guys? So close now......

Not unusual with eBay Dice.
Usually means the Dice is dead but check on another suitable Volvo to rule out an issue with your car instead.
