Lightbulb 70 Series Haynes Manual

Just wondering if it is worth getting the 'Phase 1' 70 Series Haynes manual for my 2002MY C70.

I'm thinking it will probably prove relatively useful as unlike the Post 2000 S70 (ceased production) and V70 (which changed significantly) the C70 stayed the virtually the same, from this time right up until 2005.

Also by 2000 the new Bosch ME7 had already been fitted so the Haynes manual should relate to same wiring logic etc.

The main reason I ask is I haven't been able to lay my hands on one (my halfrauds don't stock) to verify any of this, therefore can anyone offer me any useful info on this?

I'm in the same boat, with a 2002 C70 Coupe 2.4 Auto and looking for a workshop manual. There doesn't seem to be a Haynes which covers it. I've seen VADIS discs offered on Ebay but many of then don't mention the C70. Is there a "best" solution for the C70?

Question C70 Repair Manual

I'm in the same situation. I want to do some work on my 2003 C70 2.0T but can't find a manual. What is the best solution - The Hayes early C70 or the Vadis? If Vadis, where can a get a copy from? Many thanks.

Hi,

Just looked on VADIS. It seems to cover the C70 Coupe from 98 to 2002. Also the C70 convertable 98 to 2005.

Once you get used to it it in MHO it beats Haynes easily (have the Haynes V70 manual and hate the toilet paper it's made from).

Also you can print off a section on a particular task. see attachment for a C70 2002.

I got mine from ebay.

Got my copy of VADIS 2005 on e-bay for £4. Also have a copy of Haynes 3573 titled S70, V70 & C70 1996 to 1999 (P to V registration) Petrol. Hope that helps.

I've got a Haynes manual for phase 1 V/S70 if it's of interest? No longer req'd as I have phase 2 model. I'll dig out the details of models covered.

Smile Manual Help

Thanks for the pointers. I have just bought a copy of Vidas from ebay for £4. Seems to be the best way forward. Cheers Steve

Has anyone got the VADIS thing running on Windows 7 ?
I emailed several ebay sellers who informed me that it wasn't compatible

Hi,

Just installed it on my laptop running Window7 (64bit). No problems just set it to run in XP compatibility mode and set to run in Admin mode.
