Default Further troubles

Hi all, just a quick update. I still have a major problem going on here. The car was due to go in last friday to have the bracket re bonded and suddenly the day before i get a call to say 'the window guy said no, this needs a screen'. One way im very happy but the saga obviously continues.

Today gets worse, was promised a call to 'book the car in to get the new screen fitted' but instead had to chase the dealer. 3 calls and being on hold for 25 min while they discuss it later, the warranty company have said they wont pay for it as its a defect from manufacture (you would think thats what a warranty is!) or that is has been damaged.

Now the discussion has moved to Volvo themselves and if they will cover the costs (£1000 apparently) to replace the screen. They have muted that if Volvo say no i should consider going through my insurance and that 'we can look at a good will' for my windscreen excess. I have told them to sling a hook already as I was sold the car with this fault so no way im taking on the responsibility.

To say im disappointed is an understatement. My next plan is to refuse the car if Volvo wont carryout the repair, meaning a very fun discussion as i try to get the best part of the 20k i paid in December back. oh joy......watch this space

That's a horrible situation but I agree with you totally - if they don't sort this soon to your satisfaction, return the car and don't look back.

Good luck and I hope it's resolved soon.
