Default Middle rear booster seat

Hi,

The handle on the booster seat has come off, is there any way of reattaching?

Thanks

Smile Broken handle or broken cable?

Hi VC
I have had a look and the handle simply connects to a cable, when you pull the handle it pulls the cable and releases the spring clip. The handle casing clips into the seat base.
I would guess that if it has come off either the handle has broken or the cable has broken.
Good news is both are available from Volvo as individual parts, and often quite cheap, the cable for my outer seat was £6.
(I do love Volvo's way of selling parts, not whole units, far better than my £240 quote from Renault for two rubber washers as they are only supplied as part of the hood release mechanism...)
The cable should have a toggle at the end, and the handle a corresponding space it can be slotted in to.
You may need to take the seat out to get underneath to the mechanism if you need to replace parts. (or may not, let us know)
To do this first remove the outer seat. (4 bolts on the runners), plastic clips covering them just pull off forwards, (from ones), and lift up (rear ones).
Centre seat is exactly the same but remember to first disconnect the battery, then the electrical connections if present or you may get fault codes appearing.
Good luck

Thanks for your help - I took a closer look and the buckle had come out of it's grooves. Managed to pop it back in

Thanks
