Surely the highest insult to anyone forking out heavy bread for a new set of wheels only to have the rear plate out by half an inch on one side.

I have done precisely that in the past, but the salesman couldn’t understand why it bothered me, as "it was only a company car...."

Back on topic, i have a self-chosen plate, which relates to me, not the car. I’ve had it for years, but I don’t think I’d ever buy one that reflects the car, as it wouldn’t suit a different make/model car in the future.
