Default V90CC auto dipping mirror on reverse

I believe auto dipping mirrors on reverse are only available if you have fully electric seats. Is this true?

If so and you don't have fully electric seats, is there any way to enable auto dip/tilt on reverse for the wing mirrors?

Hi,

If I remember correctly, engage reverse gear and press the appropriate mirror switch on your drivers door panel twice in quick succession. That mirror will now tilt down fully or you can stop it part way with the mirror adjuster joystick on the door panel.

Mine has fully electric seats so I've got the dipping function ticked in the sensus menu.
Hope this helps?

Paul

Thanks. I read something about that in the manual but couldn't find it again. When I tried it didn't work but I was probably doing it wrong. If I does work I'll be more than happy with that, as having them dip all the time can sometimes be annoying anyway.

On the xc60 there is a setting in the sensus car settings that's lets you dip mirror on reverse.

This doesn’t work if you haven’t got electric seats/option not in Sensus

You need to have memory seats (mine are part of the pro pack), as this is the function that also stores the door mirror positions.

Definitely doesnt work for me. It's an 18/12 lease so I'll manage. I still can't get over some some of the tech this car has. It warned me about an ambulance earlier (which tbf I had already spotted but still impressive). Given all this tech I do find it odd that something I took for granted on my last 2 cars isn't included.

In what way did it warn you?

It started beeping at me and a red icon started flashing on the cockpit display. A paramedic car went past this am. I was parked at some lights and it went across. It didn't warn this time so maybe it only happens if you're moving or it's behind you or only for full size ambulances. I'm pretty sure it was for he ambulance as there is not other reason for it, unless I was about to rear end the car in front or something?

I havent seen any claim that it has emergency vehicle detection - or even how that would work.
