Rear Parking Sensors volume too low
Hi Folks
I have front and rear parking sensors. The front ones are so loud they almost deafen you, the rears are so quiet that I reversed into a pillar the other day. Any idea if these are adjustable or whether I need to take it up with the dealer? Cheers Dave

I've asked the dealership whether it's possible to change the volume of the beeps but nothing yet... I've added a backup camera to the system to see small object as well... Works pretty well and is worth every penny if you consider the costs to paint a bumper The Dolby is indeed another issue. Last week I got a question of a rear seat passenger whether they also supply the XC90 with rear speakers! It's so pointed forward the default sound scheme. It's a bit of a dissapointment really. I'm looking into other systems to enhance the sound. I believe that the hardware is ok but the default sound scheme of Volvo is Cr*p.... |

Have you checked the Dolby settings? They are in the menu section and are different to the normal stereo options.

Could these issues also be responsible for the telephone speaker volume being low?
I have mine on max. but it seems to be only half as lound as I would expect for the setting. |

I don't use the Dobly, sounds too crap. I use the three speaker setup, much more natural and meaty sound.

Did you get to the bottom of this?
Just got my R-Design on Sat and the rear beeps are quieter than the front and keen to turn up the volume Thanks Scott |

It's an old thread, but perhaps someone will stumble upon it and has the same issue.
The solution on my 2011 S60 is to adjust the volume knob while the parking sensors are actively beeping. Hope this helps someone |
