Volvo on call
Hi everyone just a quick my brother has just bought a 10 plate d5 auto with the Volvo on call service light on.
Hes not bothered about fixing it and he has just bought a Vida Dice was seeing can you take that module off completely using Vida so it doesnt come back on again if that makes sense thanks a lot. Daniel Last edited by Danielpsmith; Feb 6th, 2019 at 15:07. Reason: Spelling |

I wouldn't have thought so. Where fitted, it's considered part of the occupant safety system so I don't think you'll be able to suppress the message, no more than you could an airbag warning.
Just physically removing the module won't help, as the car configuration file knows it should be there and will just continue showing service messages and fault codes. If it can actually be removed, that would involve changing the car config (unloading the VOC app) and your version of VIDA won't do that. Only a properly licensed installation with access to Volvo's own systems has that capability.

The OnCall system likely has a failing or failed backup battery. Check in VIDA.
If the battery is the issue, replace the battery and problem solved.
