You mean the v70 that is the 850?
I've had one, good car at the time but wouldn't have one now, very basic, the p2 is old enough!

The 163 E3 engine does respond well to a good remap but the lazy auto gearbox doesn't (M56 & M66 manuals not a problem)... remaps from non reputable companies can also exceed the power that the earlier 5 speed auto can handle (on such cars the D5 is torque limited in 1st & 2nd gear...)

I'm guessing these are too old to have dmf and associated problems.

Yep, that one. I am saying this beacuse I moved back from P2 XC to v70 XC (850 era) to find the car is better refined, more comfortable and better screwed together. And it drives better

The 2.5td engine is excellent and pulls like a train.
