Default XC90 Active

Hi,

Have been lurking for a while looking at buying a 2nd hand XC90...but then having decided I need to up budget to get lower milageage example I then started looking at XC60s.

Now I've just looked at the scrappage deals from Volvo and the price and spec of the XC90 Active and I find myself looking at an XC90 Active as a potential purchase....

I've also seen that dealdrivers has new XC90 Active for just over £21k with metalic paint.

Prices seems very low and the spec on the Active seems to be pretty good but I can't see a lot more info about it ? - is there any specification on volvo website specifically about the active ...I have only found most of my info on here - but would really like some detailed spec from volvo ?

For example - does Active come with tinted rear glass? , does the winter pack with Active bendling lights mean xenon lights ?, is the sunroof longer panoramic style ?, what is the spec of the fabric..on the car builder I can't change the spec of seats ( colour/fabric) ...

Any ideas on leadtimes - dealdrivers suggests 2010 now (but if I am not scrapping a car then the extra VAT isn't the end of the world)

Thanks in advance

Just purchased Active. Good spec for the price. However, I understand the spec has recently changed for new orders, and rear tints are not now standard. But the active bending headlamps still are, and these are Xenon, and include washers. They are absolutely brilliant. I am also pleased with the internal trim, and which is much easier on the eye than the impression given in the brochure. No choice on internal trim though, take it or leave it.

Thanks for this - my dealer confirmed tints are still standard ...but delivery time is now into Feb / Mar.

I am considering tracking down UK cars in stock to try and find my spec...wanted sunroof but still not had it confirmed what the sunroof is like (is it panoramic now ?) and would skip this option for a stock car....but would want to get winter pack to get the active bending lights.

I had a bit of a wobble with my dealer yesterday before I placed my order, and I rang around a few dealers in the local area to check if my dealer was trying it on. Harratts in Leeds apparantly have an XC90 on order, with "changeable spec" for 4th Jan, he said there is a slim chance that it may come before the year end so hence 15% VAT. Why not give them a call...

I've got the sunroof on my newly collected Active. It's a traditional sunroof which opens into the roof/headlining of the car and has a sun screen you can pull across. It's not especially large and because of the slope of the windscreen sits above and slightly behind the driver. It is effective at letting in light to the first row rear passengers and generally makes the car a bit more "airy" in my opinion.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the all the info ...will contact Harrats (local to me as well) - will have to see if they can match the prices I have been offered by another dealer working against dealdrivers.
