Hi, I have the same car (XC90 D5 Sport 2007) and also contemplating getting new front shocks.

I checked in VIDA - this is the part number that comes up: 30776718

But, as you can see from the attached picture, your part number is not in the list of old parts . The part number of the rear shocks on yours match the part number on the Nivomat shocks on the rear of my Volvo - but I have to check what it says on the fronts over the weekend (its too dark outside when I leave and return during the week).

I also checked the Sachs parts catalogue and the Sachs part number (below the Volvo part number in the picture) on your shocks is not listed (incl. in discontinued) does not seem to be listed. Could be that this part number is the Sach number for the Volvo branded part which Sach would not have sold to anyone else than Volvo.

Recommend you call a Volvo dealer and ask for advice.

In terms of other parts to check when replacing; I would consider changing the bolts that hold the shocks as they are often corroded, and give the connected parts a good look over including for any play in the bearings and bushes before your reassemble the suspension.

Thanks Sweedes,
I understand that the number 30776718 is no longer produced, and the numbers that replace it are: 31277877, and
31304066, the Sachs brand with part number 314 125 replaces all the said numbers, is this correct?
Thanks again for your help

Hi Dave,
I called the Volvo dealers in my area,
some tell me they have to remove the part,

another says that the correct part is number 31304066.

In Italy if you do not know inside the dealer, you hardly have information.

Thanks
