Default c 30 1.6d 2007 what to look for

I am going to look at a 1.6d 2007 C30.

Is there any thing in particular I should look out for, I have an 2007 s40 1.6d so I presume it is pretty much the same...

You're not going to find much different between those two models. Same car, different body style to a large extent.

Cool

Hi there,

As Iain has said they are essentially the same car underneath.

I'd just be keen to look at the previous service intervals to ensure that the oil has been changed regularly. These engines can suffer from sludge issues with the oil, as I'm sure you know, so I'd want to make sure that the service intervals have been stuck to.

Going forward I'd change the oil and filter every 6 months or so and run some flushing oil through at the same time.

thanks for the advice, picked up the car, great little thing to drive, is in limp mode as the ADM/DPF is empty/blocked.... bit of work with vida and a few quid should sort that out... plenty of services but in reality no real evidence that proper oil was used everytime, it will be a flush with liqui molly then sump off for a look and proper cleaning followed by a fill up with a good quality oil and a new filter and that should be it....

kids say it is a young persons car and not suitable for fat bald old man....

Should add that the car is for my son 22.... (not actually my midlife crisis)
