1987 340 GLE 1.7 Silver - £200

Hey guys and gals,

I'm selling my 340 GLE with 92000 (ish) on the clock *sniff*. Starts, runs and pulls great with new s.plugs, coil pack (+ flywheel pickup sensor!), and a 10 month old (from new) radiator.

MOT'd last month - so lots left! - and tax until end of feb. Inside is in pretty good nick too, with no tears to any of the extremely comfy seats!

Usual 340 niggles - boot gas-struts don't hold the boot open (will come with patented "woodenbootkeepupper" - wooden pole...

), v. small amounts of rust in the usual places, and needs a new rear wiper!

Very sad to see it go but I can't justify keeping it as I just don't use it often enough. Has been a fantastic car to own.

Also comes with half (+) tank of petrol to get you home!

If people are interested I'll get some pictures up!

EDIT: I would prefer collection in Loughborough but can if required take the car up to York, again for collection there. Also - I'm open to offers!

hi how many doors has the car got auto or manual.

1.7's only came with the manual transmission, and I expect it'll be 5 door being a GLE. Sounds a bargain for that price!

It's as you've suspected - 5 door manual.

I was going to take some photos today but the pesky, although thoroughly exciting, snow has completely covered it!

Just to add - for everyone sake it would definitely be easier for this to be sold before the tax runs out! (otherwise I would have to add tax on...

- but even then the car itself is only £200! still a bargain

)

1st one to view gets it! (and the wooden pole)

I can only get back (from york!) on the sunday though. It'll be best (for your sakes) to see the car in the light so i'll try my best to get back as early as possible. How does 15:45 sound?

Oh - also do you want the 2 year old CD/radio (JVC I think) in there? If you do, would it be rude to say +£5 on the price? [cost me £70 or so] (otherwise I'll take it out but leave all the connectors intact!). I only ask because a lot of people will put their own radio's in and discard what was in there

EDIT: Also also, as I should let you know - it was broken into and stolen once about a year ago

They only got down the road but it does as a result have a newish starter motor and no steering lock. The plastic panel just under the steering wheel is also missing - they took it!??!? Purely cosmetic though - I hadn't mentioned it because I'd forgotten!
