Any ideas?
Really? thats odd, on my screen I see an actual graphic of a control module its a sort of poor line drawing of a generic module. Its quite a big graphic as well. I remember it was misleading as it just doesn't look like a clickable item but it is. Once you click that drawing you then click continue (working from memory)

have another look, if its not there ill send a screen shot of mine.

Al

I found it. You do indeed click on the Pictogram of the module which is vague to say the least. Cheers

Update, after 2 weeks, 500 miles and 2 caravan trips with a bit of fun solo driving on the twisties of North Yorks I have still had not 1 clunk from the gearbox since undertaking the above process.

Following on from your initial findings I built up the courage to hit the button of doom and deleted my existing adaptation as well as resetting the counter.

I also did not do the re-adaptation programme but again followed your lead and can report that mine has been much better ( it was ok to start with ) and the box feels crisper and the car feels punchier.

800 miles since I did it and currently away in France with it. So far so good

A great result there, well pleased.

you and I both know how sweeeeeeet they run with such a simple press of a button in VIDA, I wonder how many gearboxes, even whole cars have been scrapped that could have been saved by this.............After fixing it a few weeks ago now i still expected a clunk on a hill or one at a roundabout as it was so normal for it to do it when warm but it just doesn't happen now. Im finally getting used to it and slowly forgetting about it ever happening LOL . Every drive is a pleasure.

Can you show exactly how to do this in Vida?
I'm like many I'm sure, I have Vida but rarely have time to use it and learn where these options hide!
I'm going to flush my auto again this year and I'll reset as you hopefully describe!
Mine has just the occasional fast bumpy shift 2_3 usually when hot, if I can cure that then my gearbox will be 100%.

This is so interesting,
it would make a good "Sticky" with the reverent warnings of "Own Risk" ect.

I wonder if it would work with the i906 unit... I'll give it a trywhen I get the time.

[QUOTE= Oil was sourced in Darlington from Smith and Allan. 20L drum ATF 3309 £79.66 including VAT supplied from stock, collected in person. That isn’t supposed to be an advert but it is useful info so I included it.

I did a 5th dump on my gearbox yesterday since I got the car at the beginning of 2017. Its now looking really good. I did the counter reset and although I have not been having any problems, having read this thread, I thought I would also reset the adaption. Not been anywhere yet - so I'll see how it goes.

Attached is how I went about the adaption in VIDA - hope it helps.
