v70 1997 for 'sale'
Hi,
Need to get rid of my old v70 and wanted to check if anyone might use it rather than me scrapping it. Available for the same price as the scrappy will pay (unless you want to pay more). Tatty dark blue, lots of scratches and a few dents courtesy of cyclists. Automatic, LPG, 2.4/5 petrol (LPG). 170K. No MoT Runs well, gearbox smooth but top engine mount quite wobbly. MiL light on - have not tried resetting. No cruise control. I do have log book but will need to search for it, will re-post here when I find it. I'd love to keep this car but have two others and dont have the time to sort this one - if there is a local 'dealer' that would like to reset the MiL (an led and a link wire required, not an ebay OBD tester!),and see what else is needed for an MoT, I'd be interested in that too! Please get in touch and save this brave old slapper from the scrapper. Keith Current scrappy quote £158. LPG working well. 50 miles lpg in tank Petrol 25 litres tyres from ok to good spare wheel TORSLANDA ? 10v half leather - stained seats South glos Last edited by k3210; May 28th, 2019 at 18:48. |

Strange day
Looks like I've found a new home for Her. Got a local offer of 500 assuming mot doesn't fail hugely. Off to mot Thursday. If this falls through, I will post here again before scrapping. 500 sounds too good to be true, that's more than I paid for her 4 years ago. BRB?

No real surprise, the £500 guy was less than honest. Scrappy will take it for a little less than £200 and will move it quickly. MoT fail on two front brake hoses and handbrake mechanism.
If anyone wants a ratty old v70 for £200 - please get in touch here over the weekend. Not interested in offers, deep questions, exchanges or payments other than UK cash on collection. Vehicle has now been SORN. MoT fail demands immediate fix of hoses and handbrake. Now sadly leaving the Volvo community...... thanks for all the help in the past. |

Apparently the price of cats are through the roof at the moment.... Nearly £200 for a Volvo one! Ask for more than £200 👍
