The Haynes manual says to unbolt the steering gear from the subframe (5 nuts) remove the fluid pipe clips at front and rear of the subframe and lower the rear of the subframe, you need to loosen the front mounting bolts as well...good luck

Thanks. I’ve access to a ramp I can rent time on so sounds like a job more readily undertaken on a ramp. I always try to buy good quality parts - doing the work myself saves plenty and so can readily cover the cost of good parts. So far in my short 850 ownership I’ve mainly used Skandix, whilst postage isn’t cheap the range of parts and cataloguing appears to be good.
