Aftermarket stereo wiring
I've come to wire in a new stereo to my 1998 C70 coupe. Everything was fine but no sound. I've realised that the speaker wires have a different connector that does not connect to the standard ISO connector block. The connector is a round think a bit like the old din connector for hifi. Is there an adaptor or do I need to split the wires and cut of to hehe connector. Any ideas would be a great help thanks

Ok so the din style cable that plugs into the back of my factory stereo I wonder if that actually comes from an amp and not direct from the speakers. Looking through previous thread people have fittted after market stereos so what the best way to get the sound inot my new after market head unit. Any help much appraiciated

Hi.
You are describing the connector to an amplified system in your car. You need the Autoleads PC9-414. Not cheap at around £18 but necessary. This plugs into the RCA outputs on the the back of your headunit. Once done you will find you have sound - lots of it! 😊 |
