Default Glove box issue!

I took my '05 S40 for an MOT almost a year ago, and it required a pair of control arm brushes.

The wheel nut key was in the centre console, but I'm guessing they've tried opening the locked glove box and broken the latch/handle.

It's only come to my attention when I've needed in the glove box,(no, I don't use it alot!) tried locking and unlocking etc.

Now, I don't know if the glove box is locked or unlocked, is it clockwise or anti clockwise to unlock?

And

How do I get into it to repair?!?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated .

Well I've managed to get it open, it took seconds to do, just not something you can do whilst driving!

Pull the dashboard side trim off -

Remove the vent -

Put you arm in and push the glove box catch in -

And , job done!
