When I first started to use these data SIM cards, you could only buy them from Three and they cost £79.99.

Just ordered another two sims from MyMemory.
Thought, if Three.co.uk have increased the price, from £30 to £40, then at £24.99, one cannot go far wrong with a couple of spares.

I use two of these sims each year with Huawei devices, one plugged into the car and the other, as a mobile wifi modem.

I've just bought another one - will keep it in the car (and probably forget all about it...).

We bought a monthly contract one after taking out a phone contract. It comes with a portable wifi box which you can ignore and just use the card, but it's 20gb a month for £8 a month. Except they got ours wrong, totally buggwred everything up and we ended up with 20gb for £6.49 a month 😊

I thought about a monthly contract one, but as most people seem to use between 1 and 4 GB a month then £25 for 12GB to be used over up to a year seems to make more sense than a contract even though you get more data - which is "perishable" in that if you don't use it, it disappears.

Not that £80 a year is the end of the world when you've just spent >£60k on a car - which sort of goes back to the question of why don't Volvo just include it?

Fair enough. I've got two internet munching kids, and we do lots of uk holidays, plus hoping to drive over to France and Italy, so we'll use every bit of the 20gb! Plus I can whip the card out the car into the wifi device thingy to use for them or for me to work if we're away and not have to worry. But you're right - Volvo should really supply the cars as well as the ability.

They arrived from Switzerland this morning at 09:00.
Fast delivery, considering where I live.

Does the 12 months start from the day you plug it in. My XC60 is yet to arrive. Assume if you bought two it must do. Can it be topped up etc. Do you get a URL with each card. I have never used one before.

Yes, it starts once you plug it in and lasts for 12 months, unless you use the 12 GB of data up before then.
I have never bothered to top one up, they are so cheap, I just replace with a new sim.

Thanks. Just read that top ups only last 30 days and you should always buy two at a time. Do you get an email address with the cards.
