Default Key fob stuck in ignition no start

Hello everybody

Not been here for a while. All has been well till today. My wife called me panicking saying key was stuck in ignition and would not start or come back out.

When I got to her in Lidl car park the key had popped out but she re inserted it and nothing. I tried and there were two dashes on the right hand dash dial. When you press the clutch and press start the car clicked and went dead, until you removed key. So I locked it two clicks to do this and left for home having transferred kids and shopping into my 118d.

I will try the spare key fob tomorrow just in case its the fob battery. A CR 2430 will be purchased if it works. If not its an AA call. Anyone had this problem. Car did not do its normal come to life moves.

Help!!! Please ignore not in correct location.
