  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

That makes sense, especially when you can remote start your car to defrost and warm up, when the wipers may be stuck to screen. I think I will turn auto wiper off during the winter.

As nu11eaf says, activate/deactivate using button on right hand stalk.


I think the default is always to switch it off, unless you tick the "Rain Sensor Memory" Setting (Settings...My Car...Wipers)
Thanks for this, I've been puzzled by the lack of auto wipers recently to the point of thinking maybe I didn't have them.
This post has explained it to me, I seem to recall being told about the button at handover but it's not something you can see when driving.

It took me a few days to work it out and had to eventually RTFM to discover the "stealth" button.

I do however like the water "jets" embedded in the wiper arms. No more getting into trouble pinching needles from the wife's sowing kit to align the jets

If you use an auto car wash, remember to turn off the auto wipers before going through or they will get ripped off.
