Default C30 passenger wiper blade stopped working.

Hi all,

I have a 2007 C30, and the other day the passenger wiper blade just stopped working. It didn't slow down, it just went from 100% to zero. Drivers side is working fine. My step son had a look and said there is a plastic cap that had popped off, and if you put it back on again it works, but it keeps popping off and now wont stay on at all. What's broken..... Any ideas??

Sounds like it's something on the wiper arm/linkage.

Take the scuttle panel off and have a look see.

Sounds like the nut has come loose that holds the wiper arm onto the spindle. The cap just goes over it to hide it. The spindle and the hole in the wiper arm are splined, I guess the pressure from cap was just about holding the splines in contact until the nut worked a bit looser. If so, no need to take the scuttle off, just a 10mm socket or spanner should see you right
