Wanted - Amazon gearstick parts
More specifically, the aluminium / alloy casting that holds the gearstick onto the gearbox top casing, and also the small curved plastic piece that goes immediately inside, and which keeps muck out as the gearstick is moved.
Not sure how that plastic piece is removed, but happy to buy a whole gearstick as that may be easier than trying to fit a replacement to my gearstick. I'll dig out some parts book pics / refs in the morning to clarify

Think I might have a couple, will have a look today if I'm allowed around (apparently I'm going to the art gallery today).

Hi Paul, have a very nice gear lever. It has the nut, plastic seal, spring and a nice knob (no pun). The nut has two dings in it where someone gas hit it with a chisel but not bad and will be fine with a light file. Will post a couple of pics tonight.

Excellent! The dings aren't a problem as it's all out of sight. My current one has a few cracks in it (as well as lots of dings) so thought it worth sorting out when the plastic part is replaced!
If this makes it easier to post, the main chrome section of the gearlever can be separated from the lower section by removing a circlip inside the base of the chrome section. Many thanks

Is it just the nut and plastic seal that you need? If so let me know and I can take it apart tomorrow night and pop it in the post. Pics attached of the gear lever.

It's mainly the nut and washer, but probably best that I buy the whole thing. This is because when I took mine apart, I couldn't find a way of getting the washer off the lower 'L' section of the gearstick, as there was a raised area on the section that sits inside the chrome lever which was too large for it to fit over. It may be that the raised area is just a press fit, but I don't have a workbench & vice to deal with that.
Do you still have my address? Let me know how much you'd like for it including p&p, and I'll send it via paypal asap. Cheers!

Hi Paul,
£15 sound okay? I should be able to sneak it in the post at work I think but if not will let you know how much postage is. If you could PM me your address would save me looking for it through old PMs. Cheers, Mitch |
