Get a ‘active chassis service required’ but there are no fault codes to read.
Car drives fine, tbh had fault 2-3years ago n had it reset n then nothing til a month ago.

Any suggestions?

Whenever I’ve had that fault the car had lost all damping-very disconcerting wallowing ride.
First time the electronic box or sensor somewhere in the front suspension had come adrift.
Main dealer completely clueless.

Second time was much more recent - car had been on a ramp so suspension had been at full droop. Fixed by leaving it locked overnight. Recalibration thing?

Check the plastic doobry things that link the suspension arms to the electronic sensor boxes.

Finally got the issue sorted, there are levelling sensors for each corner and 2 came up as being faulty so had them replaced. Cost £107 each so not too bad and car feels a lot better.

Glad you got it fixed, can I ask a question? I have just replaced all 4 shocks (oem monroe) to my 2008 v70 4C and successfully calibrated it etc.

I can't feel any difference between any of the settings, maybe rolls slightly less in advanced? But no difference in firmness can be felt, is that normal?

I fully sympathise with your feelings on the 4C system. I run mine in "Advanced" almost all the time because all my cars prior to the Volvo for 25 years were sporty 2+2 coupes with sporty suspension and I'm used to a slightly harsher ride. After 3 years of using the car I think that the difference in the settings is barely felt except either when putting the car through extreme handling challenges or when riding over very rough surfaces such as cart tracks or cobbles. Otherwise for pottering around town without challenging the suspension I can feel little difference myself.

Not my experience, I notice quite a significant difference.

Interesting, I've watched it on the graph in VIDA and you can see it responding to the cars movement, but no change in the feel of it, road noise is the same in comfort and advanced.
