Default Yellow T4

Hi, a good question indeed. I have been researching the same question for quite a while now, as I have one. This is what I have identified so far:

I wrote to Volvo, they told me that a total of 34 Panama Yellow S/V40 were sold in the UK.
They couldn't tell me the split between models or engine type.

Since then I have tried to work out some further details from internet searches etc. So far I think I have identified 20 cars, of which 12 are S40 and 8 are V40. The engines are the tricky part, but I've got 2 x diesel (split S/V) and 3 x 1.8 (all S40) petrol. This then leaves the rest as either 1.9 (1855cc) or 2.0 (1948cc) litre petrol. What I can't establish yet is how many of these are the T4 model.

I know that the VOC 'Driver Magazine' asked for help answering the same question recently (cos I asked), but so far I think even they have struggled.

I am sure someone else may know more, or hopefully correct me....

Hope this helps...a little.

Default Mellow Yellow...Not

I know of 2 Panama Yellow S40 T4's.

I had some callipers off a dead T4 in Hinkley about 10 years ago. It had been highly tuned and if i remember correctly it had been stood for a while.

There is one in Dunstable that has a few parts off my dead 2.0T Sport Lux.

You could try contacting some of the specialist Volvo breakers as they might remember such a distinctive car.

One has just come up for sale in Sheffield, I’ll try and post the link. It’s just failed an MOT miserably and done 150k

Sad when they get that bad - I didn't pay very much for my T4 and that had a chunk of MOT left and drives very well.

Had a couple of marks on it (plus a nasty dent now from a scumbag in Sainsburys carpark) but it's still going strong.

I see that yellow one's got what looks like a boost gauge on the dashboard - might mean the engines been 'used' a little more than the next buyer might prefer!

MOt expired 30 May 2018 W665SRH
