08 v70 d5 centre console and ob2 not working
Hey people!!
How is it going all of you? I have recently started my v70 after a year and a bit being dead in my garage with the immobiliser/steering lock error. One of the electronics gurus managed to clone it and use a good known working unit for mine and now it all starts, finally... But on the other hand i have now encountered an issue where the complete center console does nothing. All the 12v sockets are dead, the obd2 port is dead, the heater controls and blowers are dead, nothing lights up and only the screen for the radio is lit up with no sign of anything showing up... I have tried belling out the whole fuse board in all the 3 places, but all seem to be ok and all the fuses are correct and in good condition. Has anyone encountered anything similar? Cheers, ADam |

All sorted now. Went through every single fuse with a multimeter and found some blown ones, that you won't see with naked eye, so replaced it all and it works now

Interesting, but why did they all blow? Are they are all related to circuits located in one particular area of the car? Fuses don't blow for no reason and fuses for location related circuits all blowing would intimate that something at the location has an effect on these circuits and blows all of them. Could it be water ingress? The only reason I'm posting is that I love a good puzzle! If you find out what caused it, please post the solution.

Hey there!
The car was stood in the garage for a long time so couldn't have any water damage. It was a constant electrical nightmare for me, but as i said, found some bad fuses and it seems ok. Now i got a few other issues after that lol. The windows won't work at all, the mirrors too, and there's a few injector faults when i plug Vdash in... Anyway... Adam |
