Default No power to the 12v sockets

Just picked up my 2009 XC60 and both the 12v sockets inside the car don’t work when I plug anything into them (the 12v socket in the boot does work).

The car inside sockets are in the centre console and in the rear passenger section of the storage box.

Any suggestions please?

Usually that's a fuse up behind the glovebox. I can't remember the fuse number but I do know it's better to take the glovebox out to get at it. It's only 8 screws and it's out. Otherwise you'll need arms with at least 3 elbows to get to it.
That fuse powers the cabin sockets when the key is on whereas the rear socket is live all the time.

I think you might find it in the engine compartment , fuse number 25, 15 amp. Just looked on line and it showed 2009/2010 under bonnet. So hope I’m right.

Thank you that’s really helpful and really appreciate the advice - guess what I will be doing today 😁😁.
Is any chance the 15amp fuse the small yellow one?

Best to go by the markings on the top edge of the fuze. But 15A should be blue.

Ah, that's a good point, I was talking about my S60 so yes, try the engine bay first.
