Default S80 2002 dashboard removal

Having looked at the other threads, advice and great videos regarding this problem ,none seem to cover my model of S80 2.4 auto 2002.

It seems my model has small black plastic plates /fillers covering the screw entry. Is it just a case of taking these screws and the dash comes out?

I will be sending down to our friend Luzac for repair.

Any advice or direction will be much appreciated.Cheers.

Default dash out

thxs read through the thread and yea it was there, but at risk of asking another couple of daft questions

Can the car be driven with the dash disabled,i.e out (sent to be fixed) and is a failed dash likely to pass an MOT?

I can imagine turning on the ignition with the DIM removed could trigger electrical and srs fault codes so I know I wouldn't risk it.
Also, part of the MOT is ensuring all warning lights work and then go out. Which is impossible to test with no dash.
