Default Tonneau cover

Hi,

Ive noticed that under the tonneau cover on my C70 is a bit mucky where the hood is stored. Is it possible to lift the tonneau and then release the hood button to leave it in an open position to clean in that area?
I know on the Peugeot 307cc I had if you released the button before the roof opperations were complete it seemed to mess up the roof ecu and roof operation needed to be reset, roof would jam open.

You can stop the hood mechanism at any point in its cycle with no problem. Just release the button when it is open at a convenient point. Useful for cleaning the inside of the rear window as well. I always press the button to complete the cycle that has been interrupted. So hood closed, press button and open half way, stop, do whatever I need to do and then complete the opening cycle. release button and then press again to close. Not sure if it is necessary to complete the cycle, but that is how I do it and no problems.

ITSv40 is correct. You can stop the roof at any point of opening or closing. It's actually good to clean out the roof compartment as the drainage openings need cleaning out every so often. I also spray white lube on the mechanisms twice a year.
Oh, and no need to finish the cycle, I just changed my 3rd brake light from the red to the newer clear type, just opened the roof till the tonneau cover opened, changed out and just went back.
