V70 window tinting
Some one was asking about this a few weeks ago
Ok....3 very good companies near me all came in at £150.00 for the whole 7 windows . I know the fronts should not be tinted.Buy i will only be fitting a 50% on all the windows to provide a fraction more filtering ,which is not dark at all. And seems a hell of a lot lighter than most . Good films and nice workshops . Customers looked happy ! So the Member who was quoted £ 200 needs to ask why its a lot more ? |

If less than 70% of the light passes through the front windows, the police can sieze the vehicle, or make YOU remove the tint at the roadside. I would go with 25 - 30% tint on the front door windows, to avoid wasting your cash. Gary

I guess I'm quoted more as there's no other tinting companies around so I go with their price or don't get it done, which I'm not as I've bought a new turbo instead as well as saving £100

Your car WILL NOT be siezed unless tha car is dangerous to drive (wind the windows down?) although you can be given a PG9 will menans you eitehr can not drive tha car and have to get recovered straight away or get 14 days to recifie the fault depending on what the officer decides to give you. Have you been watching cop squad/ interceptors/traffic cops again? Last edited by Marty Dolomite; Apr 15th, 2012 at 22:46. |

Best to just avoid the 'gangster' look in the first place, I say. Gary

I'm planning on having my 940 tinted from the B pillar backwards, there are many companies around here, I took a brief look and saw one gives a lifetime guarantee on the tints. I looked at their levels of tint and think I would like the very darkest
Is it worth paying extra to use a company that gives a lifetime guarantee?

You will find so many clauses in the guarantee that its probably not worth it and will the company still be about in five years.
