P0103 MAF Sensor High
On plugging in my OBDII reader I'm getting a couple of errors.
One is listed as a permanent error, which is a glow plug being dead (ignore for now) The other is P0103 which is listed as an intermittent error. The P0103 relates to MAF circuit high input. If I clear the faults, they both come back straight away. The car starts perfectly every time and doesn't seem to lack power etc, there are no in car warnings. If I unplug the MAF whilst running the revs drop and the engine sounds a little rougher. I figured if it was anything major then it would be highlighted in the MOT. Had MOT yesterday emmissions were very good, and the car flew through the MOT. The only figure I can make out on the emissions printout says it needed to be under 3.00 and it was 0.2. So should I investigate further or just forget? The car has been serviced independently for the last few years so no idea when it last saw an obdII reader - it could have had this error for years?! |
