Nowhere near enough info on that auction, what's the milage, needs pics of the interior etc especially the loadbay - has it been a family car or used as a builder's skip. New seller with zero feedback too. There's plenty of cars out there I would be a bit dubious about this one, could be honest, if you're local why not give 'em a call? An autotrader search will show you what similar cars are advertised for.

Cheers,
John

I'd go with Steve on this one.

I bought a '97 2.0 V40 a year ago with 113,000 miles, 12 months MOT + Tax and full service history (not Volvo mind you) for £1200. This is a basic model mind you, no leather interior, no AC, no winter pack etc.

Oh, and watch out for that red paint - it looks great after a polish, but rubbish after a week or so...

Also, being that age you'd better check the front suspension bushes, as they can be a bit pricey to replace as the subframe has to be dropped. This is a common failure on this age.
