Light switch panel and OBD2 port both dead, reason?
Hello,
As aging cars, most problems with this generation of XC60 have been covered by now I guess, but I couldn't find any info about this: Both the light switch panel (Volvo part number 30739420) and OBD2 port are dead; and all fuses are OK. As you know, the light switch panel houses not only the light switch but also the gas tank lid opener, fog light button and the dashboard dimmer. None of them work. Furthermore, the OBD2 port doesn't work either. Checked the OBD2 device on another device, works just fine. As the panel and the OBD2 port are physically very close, I suspect it's a common fuse/wire issue but don't know where to look. Removed the light switch panel to see if there's a fuse there, but there's none that I could see. At the onset of this malaise, the light switch panel decided to come back from the dead for a day, but then gave up completely. Honestly, don't know where to look and what to make of all of this. If anybody has come across a similar problem and or has some advice, would be great. Thank you. |
