Getting a brand new S80!!! :)
Well... not exactly, it's my folks who are getting it. Spec is the new 2010 S80 D5 Executive, with bluetooth and the upgraded diamond cut wheels. Interior will be the black ventilated leather.
I've not seen many of the new S80s before, so when they told me about it, i was very dubious, however after a visit to our local dealer, to check out an SE they had in stock, i must say i'm mega impressed. There is no way you could get a BM or MB with the options that the S80 Exec has for less than £40k. Can anyone recommend any further accesories for it? It will be 6 - 8 weeks before it arrives, so gettingstuff by mail order won't be a prob. What do people use for cleaning and waxing their volvos? cheers in advance |

Hope you enjoy your shiny new car when it arrives.
In terms of accessories I'd recommend a boot liner -very dull but immensely pratical. Keeping boots clean and cleaning dirty boots is tricky. With a boot liner you just remove it and give it a good shake or vacuum. You can get an original Volvo version for £££ or get a compatible version from roofbox.co.uk. In terms of cleaning my car I'm a Duragloss fan. Duragloss 901 carwash, 105 Total Protection Polish which will last for about a year with occasional maintenance top ups of 951 Aquawax. Visit duragloss.co.uk or seriousperformance.co.uk. If you want the car to stay clean for longer (particuarly if you hate dust) I'd recommend Finish Kare FK425 detailing spray (available also from serious performance). Just spray FK425 as you dry the car with a microfibre towel. These products aren't cheap but they work and they are concentrated so will last a long time. |

I bought mine back in July. I added options bluetooth (like yourself), 4C, Driver support pack (incls adaptive cruise control), sunroof and rear window blinds, boot mat and rubber mats. Some of these are obviosuly factory fit. Hope you got your 8% Volvo affinity discount by being a VOC member ...

Thanks for the replies guys. My folks managed to get 20% off list price AND the full parkers trade in for their S60 T-5. Apparently there is a deal on at the moment for existing Volvo customers who have owned at least a couple of Volvos. It's a spectacular deal! |

I wouldn't mind trading my S60 D5 in for a brand spanking new C70! |
