Smile Door mirrors and reverse gear ...

Hi there,

One (of the many) features I like on my new V70 is the option to automatically reposition the door mirrors when reverse is selected. My question is .. it seems that the reverse position is is pre programmed I'm wondering if this position can be changed? I know the mirror positions are remembered by the seat position memory so have tried using the memory select while in reverse (with alternative mirror position chosen). Given the general ability of the memory functions on the car I'm sure it must be possible to alter the mirror present for reverse .... I just haven't found it yet ... anyone got any ideas please?

Thanks

I was wondering the exact same thing the other day. They go down to low for my liking. I have found that if I tap the joystick as it's moving it stops where I want it.

Thumbs up

They are programmed to drop to maximum so that the rear wheel/kerb position can be seen. By flicking the mirror joystick you can get them to stop where you need them or adjust them back up a bit if gone too far.

Hope that makes sense!

How do you set this up? I was looking through the menus and can't find how to do this. It isn't set up by default for the mirror to drop in reverse but I'd like it to. (2010 MY 2.0d RD)

When in reverse gear just tap the button of the mirror you want to tilt down - done.
