Default Roof rails - silver or black?

I'm taking delivery of my new 2010MY V70 2.0d RD on 8th Sept. Looking at the current spec guide (July edition) the description of the roof rails has changed. In the April 09 edition it stated "roof rails (silver on SE Lux and RDesign)" but the July edition just says "roof rails (silver on SE Lux)" On the web site the car configurator shows black roof rails on the RD, but then it shows the beige headlining too and the description clearly states quartz so I'm not sure how reliable this is...

At the time my order was placed the July edition hadn't been released, but it must have been in print.

Does anyone know for sure whether I'm likley to get silver or black??

I'll know in a couple of weeks anyway but I prefer the silver and I'd rather not be dissapointed on the day I get my new car - if I know a couple of days before I can get used to the idea beforehand!

I have a month old R design in black and it has black roof rails. It may change with the colour of the car.

Shouldn't the dealer be able to trace this from the build request?

There has been issues with the Car builder part of the website and was recently defaulting to a standard interior.
I too have ordered a 2010MY RD - should arrive 3rd week of September

I really want to have Silver roof rails - which according to the brochure is now standard... also noticed the 2010MY in the showroom had silver rails.

I also dont want a cream headliner nor cream facia on the seats....

I'm hoping to order my car next month and have been looking at the V70 R Design in 2.0d spec too and noticed that in the 2010 brochure it lists the SE LUX and R Design as Silver Roof rails and other trim ie SE in black, however the model in the showroom and subsquent ones being delivered are black, and I've been told that this happened when they changed the steering wheel to the one with chrome inserts. Very minor mods n changes and to be honest I can't see why they've done this as they highlight the silver mirror caps and fog light surrounds as being the sporty element of the design. Surely silver roof rails would have been better.

One thing for sure though its seems the best version ever, and the only thing i cant decide on is the colour. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Due to take delivery in the next 3 weeks (2.0D SE). The Mrs and I scratched our heads to decide on a colour. The showroom had the car in Silver which did look great. However, we decided on Seashell as a colour in the end to have something a little different. Not 100% sure about this as they didn't have a car in this colour but when the Mrs makes a decision its usually best to along with it.

I've got mine now. Really pleased with it, but sticking to the topic, I did phone the dealer last week and they confirmed that 2010MY R Designs have black i.e. anything with the free rear central armrest will have the black rails. I'm not too bothered though, would maybe have preferred silver but the black is probably more hardwearing and less likely to mark from fixing cross bars etc. Mine is Titanium and I'm glad I chose this. I had a bit of trouble with my colour choice but I think this really suits it and it changes from quite dark grey to an almost bluey dark silver depending on how the light hits it. It really suits the car and the silver trim bits set it off well but also the black roof bars maybe make it look less tall and less like a XC70 and make sense with the black window surrounds so overall I think Volvo have got it right. The spec guide changed between the April 09 and July 09 issues from silver to black. Oh yes, the headlining etc is still the quartz colour and looks great - I'm not keen on the beige so again really pleased I went for RD!

Default Car's been delivered (not ready for collection)

Can anyone confirm if the new MY10 RD has Silver Roof rails and
White trim on the seats (not cream) and not the cream headliner

My car has arrived at the dealer, but is not available for pickup till 30th September

I have emailed the dealer to ask

Default Black

The roof rails are black
I am extremely disappointed...
in the Specs for 05/2009 they are silver
in the Specs for 07/2009 they are black

I ordered my in 08/2009

I want to find somewhere that sells them... can't be that hard to replace?
anyone with silver rails that either want black ones or non at all let me know
