Which LPG systems is the best?
Hi there,
I am going to install a LPG system into my XC90. I would like to know which one is the best to fit? Is it BRC the best? I feel the products are solid. How about Lovato and AC STAG 300 plus? My Alfa 156 fitted a Lovato system. it has no problem during the years but the tank is too small and the fuel g is not working accurately enough. Thanks Leo |

There are a lot of systems out there and there are big differnces in prices.
Each system has its pros and cons. Prins does have the best injectors coupled with a very good vapouriser, the electronics are rather outdated. Lovato - I know little about the injection systems they offer. The older generation mixer system parts were reasonable. BRC has gone from having a bad reputation to having a good one now due to heavy marketing in the UK by Green Fuel that used to promote Prins. The quality is reasonable but most BRC installers tend to be over priced imo. Stag is a budget kit normaly used with the cheapest components but is compatible with many parts. If you search though this section of the forum you will see my comments on most other systems out there. |

The Tartarini system fitted to my V70 has been there for 7 years and 200,000 miles, and has performed perfectly, and I'd certainly recommend it.
Classicswede is THE expert on LPG for Volvos, and heeding his advice would be a sound idea! Be very suspicious of cheap offers. And be wary of people who say it can be done in a day. It probably can, but not if you want it done properly! Check with the LPG convertors close to you and ask them how familiar they are with fitting their preferred system to your model of car. If you do your homework thoroughly you'll be OK. Cheers Jack |

It isn't just about the system, it's about who puts it in. I suggest that when you choose you look at some of the previous work done. My 940 has a Prins system. It would never run properly so I drove it to Prins in Holland.
They commented that if the work had been done by a Dutch installer they'd never allow them to fit another one of their systems. Much hilarity ensued.... It wasn't done by anyone on the forum BTW |

No idea
after long research, I know I should have OMVL, KME or Landi. The problem is: I have searched around my area(south west london). No body installs those system. They all prefer BRC( the most), stag, Stako, Lovato. I maight end up with BRC!!!

No those landi systems were a bit of a mistake and suffer badly with running problems.
You need to fit a sequential system not group injection. |
