Default New V70 Electronic Handbrake

I recently took delivery of a new V70 R Design

I have expereinced instances on several occasions where the handbrake has released itself.

Has any other member heard of this before and a possible cure as my dealer cannot find any faults??

What exactly happened? The handbrake is designed to wind itself on harder after 15 mins to compensate for any disc cooling and contracting ...

Gary,
As clan said, what circumstances is it happening and without it sounding patronising, you know it has an automatic release?

I can never workout when it automatically releases and when it doesn't.

I use it as a manual handbrake!

I know about having to wear the seat belt etc. but it seems to have a mind of its own and will release sometimes if I am wearing the belt or not???!!!

I dont think so :-)

Just imagine what you have, in effect a Porsche 911 when reversing ie the best traction configuration in the business , rear engine rear wheel drive ;-)

Mine went the other way and won't release automatically especially if trying to reverse, again the dealer couldn't find a fault, worrying on a 3 month old car
