I have a 57 plate D5 SE Lux manual - can't believe the software would be different for an auto.

The notes from my dealer re the problem are hand written and a little difficult to read - I think it says 'checked TIE and found Tj 18230 - requires software upgrade'

sorry I can't be more help

good luck

Andy.

Hi,
Mine is a '57 plate V70 D5.
I also find the new trip computer very annoying in that it won't stay where I left it, as did my previous V70 T5 and V70 TSE.
Also mine is very inconsistent with range after fuelling, for the same amount of £'s in the tank it will report anywhere between 380 and 600 miles range.
600 is a laught because I have never had a deisel car that is so rotten on fuel consumption. I used to easily get 28 mpg from the petrol T5, if I was careful I could get 30. In this euro6 engined D5 the very best I can do is 35. Disgracefull!
Incedentally, my trip will stay on range by itself following a refuel from almost empty.

Yes, in my last service, they updated all the software and finally, the annoying trip computer situation is resolved like others.

All I wanted was for the distance to empty to stay displayed all the time.

Fixed - even possible in Australia !!!

I have this problem sorted now on mine. The original dealer who I bought the car off of said it had the latest update. Funnily though had another dealer service the car and they have given it the latest update and the problem has gone. Anything you select it to now stays on.
