Default Considering an Amazon estate

Hello, I might feel the slight urge to own an Amazon estate.

I spotted the mildly tuned '68 on the CarandClassic site; does anyone here know that car?
Or could you point me into the direction of a nice one which might be ready to change ownership?

Cheers, Chris

Wow, what a beauty! Maybe a bit too nice for me, if that makes sense... how much did you lower the coils?

Cheers, Chris

Hi ya Chris ,

It’s not concours and I’m never afraid to take the car for a drive and she goes like a rocket 🚀, it’s been a few years since the restoration so don’t fear she’s a solid car well usable and all I want to make sure is who ever buys her looks after her meaning if she needs anything then she must have it to be maintained well which in return this Swedish chariot will get you and your family anywhere you want to go .

The suspension i had lowered it but that drove dreadful ! so went back to stock springs now she’s smoooth as a kitten out on the open road I found bumpy roads was like driving a tractor or dumper haha 😂 even my dad was like omg it’s horrible and what a transformation I would only use the good quality uprated progressive springs now if I ever fitted to my own again .

Kind regards
Robert.w

This one looks decent: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1275738 The estates may have had a hard life. The rear of the car is the main thing to check; rear arches, lower quarter panels, rear Valence, tailgates. Then all the usual old car places they rust. Engine reconditioning is expensive now so would be good to check the compression. Originality is what sells so knock money off for any major changes that aren't cosmetic. Whatever you buy get checked over thoughly as they are getting expensive so don't buy a dud.

Can heartily recommend Amazon estates, especially B20 with OD.
Compared to most Sixties classics they are a delight to drive and work on.
Happy hunting!

Definitely worth having a look. They are a fantastic, stylish, well engineered and well built classic. And practical.

Default Amazon Estate 122S for sale.

Hello.
I've just had to put my Amazon 122S Estate up for sale. It's a pretty much rust free Arizona car. Just a bit of rust on one when arch about 50mm long.
It's on the road & driving about.
Just had an overdrive gearbox put in it.
It is on this for forum for sale now.
It's lovely & has heaps of potential but you may be looking for something more finished.
Cheers, Terry
