horizontal module (Left and Right)
I'm trying to identify what are the "horizontal modules" on a V40 2017. There seems to be two, since my Central Electrical Module is reporting a fault with the left and right ones.
No warning light on the dashboard, but my scan tool reports the following for the CEM.. B119404 Left horizontal module. General fault information. System internal fault. B119407 Left horizontal module. General fault information. Mechanical fault. B119504 Right horizontal module. General fault information. System internal fault. B119507 Right horizontal module. General fault information. Mechanical fault I've searched the internet for these mysterious modules, but have drawn a blank. I was suspecting they might have something to do with the headlights, however I don't think the full LED ones are self levelling. Any help appreciated. |

These codes came up on my 2016 v40 after I ran the engine with one side of the car jacked up. I cleared them with my scan tool and they didn’t come back. I believe the horizontal modules are connected to the suspension somewhere.

I was thinking that could be another option. These cars do have level sensors, however according to Vida 2014d/2015a the DTC would be something like CEM-B104154 to CEM-B104422, however that's for older vehicles.
Searching Vida 2014d/2015a it doesn't have any of these "horizontal module" codes in it for any of the vehicles listed. So I suspect these are newer codes used in later vehicles. Last edited by PLaw; Oct 20th, 2022 at 22:40. |
