Default Recirculating valve delete?

Hypotheticaly speaking, If I were to delete the recirculating valve on my t4 (2000 model, ph 1.5 I believe) with a blanking plate, how much of a tantrum would the standard ecu have?

I wouldn't be fitting a dump valve or another recirculating valve to replace it, just deleting it all together.

Ps: Yes I know the myths about reduced turbo life spans, which are exactly that ,myths. So no I'm not interested in being told that I'll destroy my turbo.

Nah, hasn't failed. Just not a fan of the limp noise it makes through the air box when it does its business. I prefer the light chatter of "compressor surge", although I might experiment later on with some different length inlet piping on the turbo to amplify the resonance and create what we call in Australia "dose"

It won't care tbh, it'll chatter like mad tho and possibly be accompanied by "oooh that was fun"

Even the P2 cars (S60/S80/V70) don't care if you blank the recirc off...

Mine last year when the 16T was running about 14psi...

AHH! Not another "Go Brown" lungs thread. Blanking the EGR is now an MOT failure and an anti social act. They don't harm diesels (DPF's sometimes do) and only cost a few percent in fuel consumption IF you do a lot of motorway trips.
If you live in the outback or never enter a town or city, then NOX is not a real issue for other folks, but it sure is if you don't.
A clean fully functional EGR does not make a noise, unless there is a non standard air filter unit or turbo fitted. Then the ECU might have a brain failure, something "Deleters" often have.

PS: This is not the V70 forum!
