[For Sale]Genuine front brake pads & load cover fixings
As per title, for sale genuine new front brake pads (but opened when I realised they weren't the right ones for my old 760).
Fits: Should fit '91 on 700/900 Series & S/V90, Front Pads, Girling System With ABS. Part no. 31302996 (PFV reckons same as 31261183, 271737,271739). They did not fit my old 760 that I thought had Girling ABS calipers... think that needed Girling non-ABS, even though it had ABS... Cost: £20 + £5 p&p (so £25 delivered, they cost me £37 + p&p from volvo part shop a couple of years back), see pics below. Payment via PayPal. Alternatively collection from York. Terms: No refunds will be given if they aren't correct for your car, please check first! (postage looks to be expensive). The pattern of the pads look slightly different to the ones pictured on the box but I assume they are still correct (see pics below). Load cover fixings (dark grey) came out of a 95/96ish 900 series (pretty sure these are genuine but don't have them to hand) Fits: Should fit all 700/900 & V90 estates Cost: £7 + £3 p&p (so £10 delivered, equivalent cost me around £20 new from the Volvo main dealer). Payment via PayPal. Alternatively collection from York. Condition: Some minor scratching on the hooks, a quick lick of paint and will be like new again. Otherwise fine. Misc: The ones I had on the 760 from a V90 had plastic covers, however it appears there 'built in' on these ones. I'm sure the load covers fit the same. I think the plastic grommets aren't part of the kit but I'll include them anyway as they were in the same bag (just in case!). Pads: Load cover fixings:

Bump, these are still for sale. I also came across this thread on another forum that confirms they are the pads they show on the box - they are simply a newer version:

Are you sure they will fit? From what I read 760s stopped production in 1990 which pre-dates these pads. I know they didn't fit my 1989 760 which had what I thought were Girling calipers and it did have ABS. However if you've renewed your calipers to a later type then they might fit. I'll drop you a PM if you'd like to proceed (but please note I won't be giving out refunds if the part isn't right for your car). Thanks, Andy

Hi, my 760 is a 1988, registered sept, the first of the new shape. A couple of months ago, one of the calipers started sticking, the garage, was sent 3 wrong calipers, and so I looked myself, and found two on eBay, so bought two, the brake pads are the ones with the spring, so maybe the calipers where changed a few years ago by someone else who knows , but the garage had problems getting the right ones, so I've replaced them with the same that was on. Girling single pipe abs. I've kept the old ones, intending to repair them, so I'll have some spare ones, so I'm sure they're ok

Sounds like you've already had a bit of a carry-on re: calipers! I vaguely remember that the pads on my facelift 1989 were thinner and longer than these with the spring bit facing downwards rather than upwards. I then remembered that I took some photos! So here are some comparison pics, if the calipers (twin piston on each side - 4 pot calipers???) or the old pads in these pics look like the ones on your car - then these pads will not fit:
If however they are the right pads for your car then great! I dropped you a PM already before with my PayPal details
