Hi
I don't know your ECU as I have a 2002 s60 d5 that I have cloned the ecu
so I now have a spare if it ever goes wrong,

you will have 2 CHIPS in the ecu that you will have to read, one EEPROM with the cars engine map on it that may be about 44 pins, and a 8pin EEPROM with the immobiliser data on it, you will have to copy both of these and write the data in to your other ecu chips
I use the GQ-4X Universal EPROM programmer but is costly,
you can use a mmps software and cable you can get cheap from ebay with hacked soft to reed and write the ecu in boot mode that you will have to remove the ecu and do some connections inside the ecu and power the ecu from a good REGULATED 12-14v 3-5AMP DC power supply, YOU WILL STILL NEED TO REED/WRITE the imo 8 pin eeprom the programmer for this is very cheap,
and you will need the smt eprom adapters ,
